This is my world and these are my stories.
Ahh reminds me of the Prince concert I visited earlier this summer.
Prince?! Wow!! In his day, he was easily one of the best entertainers around. I imagine he still put on quite the show. Lucky you. :)
can you go wrong with music? :-)
I think not. :)
Simplicity definitely does the job here, Tom! I can totally feel the rush, especially imagining The Boss' concerts! I've yet to see one live, though it's still my intention to gift tickets to my better half one of these days...
He's not considered one of the best live acts on the planet without merit. Even if the tickets are expensive, you will always get your money's worth at a Springsteen concert. Hope you get to go soon. :)
I love that moment just before, when the room darkens. Thanks for the reminder!
Live music photography is one of my favourite visual art forms. If I can't be there myself then, seeing really good photography is the next best thing. Thanks, as always, for your kind and generous support. :)
The room darkens, the heart rate races and roars and then, it all begins! Always a rush! Thanks for your kind words. :)
Great job getting caught up in the moment!
Thanks, as always, Tina. :)
Gorgeous way to describe that adrenaline rush!
Thank you very much for such a wonderful comment, Lena! :)
I feel a concert urge now! Cool, man ;)
Me, too. The heat! The lights! The energy of the crowd! The band! Bring it on, I say! :)
There really is nothing like a like concert performance. Electrifying.
I love it live, what can I tell ya! Thanks for your comments, Tara! :)
I went to a very big concert on Friday night. This haiku captured that moment perfectly. The anticipation, the excitement, the roar at that first moment. Picture accompanying this is perfect! This was spot on for me!
What concert did you see? Glad you had a good time and, as well, glad younthought my haiku did your experience justice. :)
The picture shows how music is just alive in her...music is so transforming...
Music is definitely transforming........what a wonderful description! Thanks for stopping by with your comments. I appreciate them immensely. :)
Great haiku. You've summed up the anticipation and excitement perfectly.
Thank you, Sarah! Glad you liked my little haiku. :)
Aerosmith, in Seattle! Years ago-but still, this brought it back! Thanks Tom!!
Aerosmith must have put on a good show, for sure. My favourite concert experience was not The Boss but, instead, Iggy Pop and the Stooges in Toronto about fifteen years ago. It was in a venue that only held 1,000 people so, it was very intimate, loud, sweaty, almost dangerous, at times, but what an adrenalin rush! My ears rang for days after that show. :)
A music Haiku! Like!
Music is poetry, too, what can I tell ya? Glad you liked it! :)
Not a concert goer, but could still feel it. ( and, Bruce!)
Glad you felt Bruce! :)
HI Tom!oh yes, a song you love, an artist you admire (or have the hots for) is electric LIVE, you feel it in every part of you. the haiku really drove that point home. hope you had a great weekend!
The last weekend before the start of school is always a bit of a drag. But, learning about all of the various haiku forms provided a useful and enjoyable distraction. Hope all is well with you and yours, Kir. Thanks, as always, for taking the time to comment on my work. I appreciate it so. :)
