Ahh reminds me of the Prince concert I visited earlier this summer.

DeleteSimplicity definitely does the job here, Tom! I can totally feel the rush, especially imagining The Boss' concerts! I've yet to see one live, though it's still my intention to gift tickets to my better half one of these days...
ReplyDeleteHe's not considered one of the best live acts on the planet without merit. Even if the tickets are expensive, you will always get your money's worth at a Springsteen concert. Hope you get to go soon. :)

DeleteI went to a very big concert on Friday night. This haiku captured that moment perfectly. The anticipation, the excitement, the roar at that first moment. Picture accompanying this is perfect! This was spot on for me!

ReplyDeleteAerosmith must have put on a good show, for sure. My favourite concert experience was not The Boss but, instead, Iggy Pop and the Stooges in Toronto about fifteen years ago. It was in a venue that only held 1,000 people so, it was very intimate, loud, sweaty, almost dangerous, at times, but what an adrenalin rush! My ears rang for days after that show. :)

The last weekend before the start of school is always a bit of a drag. But, learning about all of the various haiku forms provided a useful and enjoyable distraction. Hope all is well with you and yours, Kir. Thanks, as always, for taking the time to comment on my work. I appreciate it so. :)
