This lovely Fall weekend, Trifecta is asking us to simply add 33 well-chosen words to the intro line:
"On the count of three......" Here are, what I hope turn out to be, my 33 well-chosen words.
"On the count of three, kiss me!"
Slender fingers entwine mine. Toes outstretch to meet my lips. Eyes closed.
My eyes open. Barely breathing. No idea how to kiss a girl. She'll expect me to know.
1-2-3 becomes infinity.
"1-2-3 becomes infinity." That's about how it goes. :)
ReplyDeleteLol :)
DeleteThat's cute and so true
ReplyDeleteThanks, Zoe. I appreciate your comment. :)
DeleteAnd everyone remembers that first kiss! Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bo.
DeleteGrade seven. Local park. Reminiscing by the Little River Band was playing on the radio in someone's backyard adjacent to the park. She used grape flavoured lip stuff. I know that you didn't ask but, just the same, there you go! :)
Oh this is so awesome x) I can see imagine his wide eyes and blushing face haha
ReplyDeleteGlad you got what I was attempting to convey. I wouldn't want to be a twelve or thirteen year old boy no matter how much money they paid me!
DeleteYou've nicely captured some awkward moments. Wouldn't want to be there again but it is sweet.
ReplyDeleteIf you got a sense of awkwardness and sweetness from those 33 words then, I guess I've accomplished my goal with this piece. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate it very much.
DeleteNice job! I just re-experienced the nerves of a first kiss. Thank goodness I don't have to do that again :)
ReplyDeleteGlad I took you back. That's what the piece is all about. Not everyone's first kiss was like a Hollywood movie. Hope yours was good for you. :)
DeleteVery sweet :).
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to read my work and offer a comment. I appreciate it very much.
DeleteThat's quite fun. I barely remember my first kiss ...
