Read a Good Book Lately?

The Trifextra challenge this weekend is to write a story or poem based upon the structure of our planet with a core, molten middle and a crusty exterior.     I immediately thought of hard cover books and came up with the following.  Hope you like it.  Happy New Year everyone!

Read a Good Book Lately?

Between the covers of any great book;

the molten passion of the author's heart,
the explosive force of an original idea,

creating mountains of thought,
lighting the darkness,

the landscape reborn
by books.

  11. yes, indeedy. I get pretty immersed into whatever I am reading. Then I take a step back as I close the final page - take a deep cleansing breath - and go on to the next in line. :) Love this.

  16. Books were another idea of mine, although I was going for the whole "carved out section to hide stuff" idea. I didn't think I could do it in 33 words. You did something better in 33 words than I could! (:

  20. Gorgeous. I love this: "the explosive force of an original idea." And as a bookworm myself (aren't we all, though?), your piece is something I can totally relate to.
